Our organization consists of nearly 150 of the area’s top public relations professionals from business and industry, consulting firms, government agencies, hospitals, trade and professional organizations, and not-for-profit groups.

We offer opportunities to network with communications professionals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels and to learn industry best practices from local and national leaders through monthly programs, seminars, and access to the national PRSA database of contacts and resources.

Earn your APR

Established in 1964, the APR program is the profession’s only national post-graduate certification program. It measures a public relations practitioner’s fundamental knowledge of communications theory and its application; establishes advanced capabilities in research, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation; and demonstrates a commitment to professional excellence and ethical conduct. Awards and Recognition – local and national

PRSA national awards honor outstanding contributions to the public relations profession. Consider entering your best work for the chance to earn recognition, raise your industry profile, enhance your brand recognition, celebrate your team's accomplishments, grow your business and become part of public relations history. Competitions include the Anvil Awards, Chapter Diversity Awards, Individual Awards, and Section Awards.

The Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter hosts the annual Paragon Awards to recognize excellence in public relations within our region. We also present the Dorothy Thomas Black Award and Communicator of the Year Award.
